Philosophy, Politics and the Arts.
A Summary
I’ve decided that despite my usual posts of horribly pretentious philosophical quotes, music, artwork and poetry, I will take a more traditional stance with this one and actually talk about how October has treated me. I would usually resent anyone who complains publicly about personal issues, as in the majority of cases such words as ‘depression’ and ‘love’ are generally thrown around as something trivial, though I will make an exception here simply to vent. Please forgive me.
So, with October on the horizon, I chose to make a small, though arguably drastic change in my life; I would be more outspoken and cast off the mask of almost constant silence. A decision which could not have been worse for me. Through fear of digression, I will simply outline the main events of this past month to give a small taster, if you will. I broke up with my girlfriend, got fired, found out that I now have 2 more exams to tackle in January, started smoking at parties again, and have found myself entering a number of arguments with people who I would otherwise simply ignore over such issues as sexism and quite simply, ignorance.
Now, where’s that mask gone…? x
